On Wednesday, January 3, 2023, at 9:00 AM WIB, the De Jure Journal of the Faculty of Sharia marked a historic milestone. After a long process of applying for Scopus indexing, De Jure finally succeeded in achieving this prestigious recognition.
The oldest journal of the Faculty of Sharia is currently led by Ramadhita, M.HI. Under his leadership, De Jure advanced to become a Sinta 2 journal and eventually got indexed by Scopus. Pak Rama (as he is affectionately known) and the four members of the De Jure journal team expressed their pride. Their hard work has finally paid off.
“Alhamdulillah, De Jure can now serve as a platform for academic works by doctors aiming for professorship,” said Pak Rama.
The celebration of De Jure’s Scopus indexing was simple yet meaningful. The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and attended by the Rector, vice-rectors, senate chair, deans from UIN Maliki, faculty members, and administrative staff of the Faculty of Sharia. The rector presented a souvenir after giving his speech.
“Alhamdulillah, UIN is getting closer to realizing its vision of becoming a leading university with an international reputation,” proudly stated Prof. Dr. HM Zainuddin, M.A. The next part of the celebration was the cutting of the “tumpeng” as a symbol of gratitude. Everyone involved hoped that the Jurisdictie Journal of the Faculty of Sharia, which is also awaiting Scopus submission results, would achieve similar success. This would further facilitate the internationalization of UIN Maliki.
